Clinical Psychologist

I am a clinical psychologist in Brackenfell in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. I offer short and long-term psychotherapy to adults.

Therapy can be a healing process, a support in times of distress, but also a process of personal growth. My approach is centred on providing a safe space for therapy. A safe therapeutic space requires an open, compassionate and non-judgmental attitude. I place great value in the ‘therapeutic alliance’, which is the extent to which the therapist and the client work together.

I have a strong interest in Relational Psychoanalysis and Attachment Theory, but I also work with Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness where appropriate. I have experience in working with trauma, depression, anxiety, bereavement and loss, stress, adjustment difficulties, relationship difficulties and personal growth.
