I am a Clinical Psychologist registered with the HPCSA and BHF. I am also a member of the Psychology Society of South Africa (PsySSA). My approach is client centred. My training allows me to apply psychodynamic, systemic and cognitive behavioural approaches to therapy.
ADULTS: I work with a range of issues that affect the adult population including, but not limited to anxiety (excessive worry), depressive feelings, loss/grief, traumatic experiences, relationship difficulties, stress and education on various psychiatric disorders and the treatment options available.
ADOLESCENTS: I deal with concerns surrounding self-esteem, self-harm/self-mutilation, anxiety/panic, suicide ideation/parasuicide etc.
CHILDREN: I only work with children from 12 years upwards.
COUPLES: I work with single or married couples dealing with issues such as lack of trust, communication issues, and abuse in relationships. I also do premarital counselling.
FAMILIES: Trauma, dealing with mental illness in the family or difficult behaviour.
ASSESSMENTS: I handle assessments of emotional functioning, career guidance (high school and beyond), helping with subject choices for Grade 9
