Clinical Psychologist

My name is Oliver Mitchell and I am the Clinical Psychologist on the “Cape Town Therapy Hub” team in Green Point, Cape Town. I work with children, adolescents, and families.

My approach is broadly psychodynamic, but depending on the specific needs of the client, an eclectic approach to therapy is frequently used. Therapy may include play therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, and/or parental guidance and support.

I have a special interest in working with children and families. I assist children/families who are experiencing challenges with emotional, behavioural, scholastic and/or adjustment difficulties (including low mood, anxiety, low self-esteem, social withdrawal, aggression, defiance, disruptive behaviour, ADHD, loss, trauma, and familial relationship difficulties).

I also have experience in working with children with developmental difficulties; including those on the Autistic Spectrum and those with Intellectual Disabilities.
