I have seen that suffering is part of the human experience. Sometimes, it displays our thorns (negative behaviour or bad habits we wish to change) and other times, the fruit in our life is showed off in the midst of hardship (acting according to our values).
I believe that we are biological-psychological-social-spiritual beings and that each of us can benefit from regular journeys of growth to develop our fruit and minimize our thorns. To do that, I incorporate an integrative and holistic approach drawing from Person Centered Therapy, Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, Existential Therapy, and others to provide a long or short term tailored intervention best suited to the individual.
My special interests include:
- Maternal health including unplanned and crisis pregnancy, infertility and adoption, miscarriage and neonatal death, and postnatal depression.
- Emerging adulthood relates to the decisions and experiences from adolescence to early 30s including intimacy, leaving and cleaving, career choices, and others.
- Burnout prevention through workshops or individualized psychotherapy to address tendencies toward anxiety and perfectionism, and design personalized self-care interventions.
- Anxiety disorders can take on many forms from panic attacks, to relentless worry, phobias, or obsessions.
