I am a clinical psychologist in private practice in Morningside, Durban. I provide therapy face to face at my practice, outdoors in nature and online.
I provide psychological assessment and psychotherapy to adults for a range of challenges which include:
My work focuses on assisting people to find meaning in their life experiences and to be empowered to live their lives in a fulfilling and meaningful way. To assist this therapeutic process, I work in a case specific manner drawing from several different therapeutic models to address my clients’ specific needs and challenges. This includes teaching ancient conscious breathing techniques that assist the unblocking of emotions and the energising, cleansing, and harmonising of body and mind. These breathing techniques work gently in all layers of our being to enhance physical and emotional wellbeing.
I believe that we all have the unlimited wisdom and knowledge to create the life we envision and to reach our full potential. To achieve this, we must learn how to live in gentleness, acceptance and peace within ourselves so that healing and change can begin to take place. My aim through psychotherapy and Breathwork is to assist a person to gain insights into their emotions, their behaviour, relationships, and experience to facilitate understanding, self-acceptance, and a meaningful way of being.
