An individual’s experience following a neurological insult can be a confusing and lonely one, filled with much medical jargon and feelings of helplessness and fear. I can offer a safe, non-judgemental space in which we can explore these experiences and feelings together. You might also experience some cognitive or thinking/memory difficulties which we can also explore and find ways to try to rehabilitate these. Furthermore, in acknowledgement of the effect on the whole family, I offer support to families of individuals with neurological or neuropsychiatric disorders.
I am a Clinical Neuropsychologist based in Bryanston, Johannesburg. I offer neuropsychological intervention to individuals with neuropathology which may include traumatic brain injury, stroke, epilepsy, dementia and neuropsychiatric disorders. This may involve neuropsychological assessment, cognitive rehabilitation, family therapy and individual therapy
I have worked 10 years within the specialist field of Neuropsychology including a Masters degree in Neuropsychology, coupled with training in Clinical Psychology. This has enabled me over the past 5 years to work within multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
