Clinical Psychologist

I am a clinical psychologist from the United States. I have a broad foundation and use an integrative approach to psychotherapy which focuses on the individual needs of the client and the therapist-client relationship.

I have worked in a variety of settings including community mental health, therapeutic day schools, and hospitals. Currently, I work in private practice and my areas of interest include grief, loss, and trauma; couples’ therapy and post-natal depression. I use EMDR to treat trauma as well as other issues including anxiety, grief, fertility, and pain. EMDR is a focused treatment that allows one’s brain to process and heal in a non-invasive but powerful manner.

With couples, I utilize the work of Hedy Schleiffer, an American therapist who has developed an experiential therapy called Encounter-Centered Couple’s therapy. This approach teaches the couple a new way of connecting and interacting which allows them to enter the world of the other and develop skills that will promote their relationship in a healthy manner.
