Clinical Psychologist

I wasn’t always a Psychologist. I started my career as a Fraud Investigator freshly out of university with a B.Com degree. After several career moves ending up as a Telecommunications Analyst, it was clear to me that the commerce world was not for me. I started studying part time pursuing my passion in Psychology, finally earning my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology studying full time at UNISA; finally feeling like I’ve found my purpose.

I am trained systemically and enjoy using a dynamic and solution focused approach, but with an underlying Psychodynamic understanding as well as a client-centred style. In plain English, it just means I will use as much professional knowledge and resources as I have to assist you in the best way possible.

I believe that good and successful therapy depends very much on a good fit between therapist and client. It’s not always a straightforward process to find the right therapist and it takes courage and persistence. Don’t stop looking for The Therapist that sees you and hears you! And sometimes, different therapists fit at different times of your life as you journey through varying experiences and events. Hopefully I can be That Therapist for you at some point in your life journey, but don’t give up trying to find whatever it is that will bring you healing.
