I am a counselling psychologist with over 20 years of experience working with children, over eight years, tweens, teens, and adults in different therapeutic and non-therapeutic settings.
I believe that therapy is not only about conquering life struggles that cause pain but rather about transforming how you show up in the world so that you can move forward in life despite one’s struggles. Even though it is difficult, one can feel alive and engage with life despite its difficulties. Therapy allows one to create personal stories of transformation and learn skills to build a life worth living.
My specific area of interest is in promoting and maintaining mental health and well-being through combining my experience with traditional and innovative counselling methods. To meet the needs of my clients, I draw on Person-centred Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Logotherapy, and Narrative Therapy.
I can often be found outside, incorporating nature and animals, especially dogs and horses, into my sessions.
