In dealing with life’s challenges and pressures, people may often find themselves feeling demotivated, discouraged and stuck. The demands of different life roles and multiple responsibilities may often lead to high stress levels, anxiety and depression, and even a sense of burnout. Through counselling and therapy life challenges can be explored, and through a collaborative problem-solving approach it could bring about solutions to foster new resilience, wellbeing and meaning.
I provide both in-person and virtual appointments. After-hour appointments are available and the practice processes medical aid claims on behalf of the client. Located in Blouberg sands Westbeach, the practice serves individuals from Tableview, Sunningdale, Parklands and Blouberg.
Working with adolescents, adults and couples to provide therapeutic intervention to promote personal and professional growth, and foster a sense of wellbeing.
Career assessments are offered to learners from grade 9 onwards, wanting to identify suitable school subject choice, and career- and study choice options. Adults wanting to embark on a career change or wanting to branch out into different areas of interest may also benefit from a career consultation or career assessment. Assessments may benefit the client who wishes to identify areas of personal growth to learn how to navigate occupational and relationship challenges. I am a registered Neethling Brain Instrument Practitioner and the Neethling Brain Instrument (NBI) is one such tool that may promote greater awareness in communication and interpersonal interaction preferences, enhanced conflict management, problem solving and creativity.
With a special interest- and proven track record in working in the Higher Education sector, I work with adolescents to navigate the demands of learning and studies, scholastic performance and navigate challenging peer relationships amongst others. In addition to the career pathing and development assessments I provide study methods and learning styles consultations..
