I am an HPCSA Registered Counselling Psychologist in private practice.

My professional interests are in the field of overcoming trauma, couples therapy, anxiety, depression, addiction science, and career management. The therapeutic approaches I use are Brief Term Therapy (Solution Focused), Encounter-centred Couple Therapy (EcCT), Eye Movement Desenzitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Motivational Interviewing. In my approach I consider the client's individual needs and readiness to change.

I have years of experience in working with young professionals and students regarding anxiety, depression and trauma. I have assisted many students from different backgrounds and ages to overcome personal difficulties that impacted on their academic performance. I worked at universities such as UNISA (4 years) and presently do consultancy work for the Therapeutic Unit at the University of the Western Cape.

I was also trained as a Lifeline volunteer where I where I delivered telephonic counselling for people in crisis. I also deliver learning programmes and workshops on behalf of Red Management Consultants.

I completed a 2 years Group Analysis intermediate training involving theory and practical applications through the Centre for Group Analysis Studies (CGAS) located in Cape Town. I have also been trained in the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) approach and Encounter-centered Couple Therapy approach.
