I use an integrative approach, tailoring the therapy to address the uniqueness and specific concerns presented by each individual client. Building on a fundamental training in psychodynamic theory, I integrate other approaches such as Gestalt therapy, Systems theory, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) where appropriate.
My passion is to make a meaningful contribution to the life of each client through facilitating their process of reaching their own potential, so that they have the freedom to live the life of their own choosing.
I work with adults and couples, as well as adolescents and pre-teens.
I am registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) in the category of Counselling Psychologist (Independent Practice), and my practice is registered with the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF).
My particular areas of therapeutic interest include, but are not limited to:
- Personal and relationship problems
- Adjustment difficulties, dealing with life changes
- Self-esteem and self-image
- Trauma counselling
- Bereavement and loss
- Stress management and Mindfulness
- Personal growth and self-exploration
- Couple counselling
My practice is situated in Arbroath Avenue in Hurlingham, very close to the hub of Sandton CBD, yet in a quiet street and easily accessible from all areas.
