There are times in our life when we become aware that we are behaving in ways that we do not understand. We may be frustrated by aspects of our selves that seem to be holding us back from achieving our goals or relating to others as we would like. I see therapy as an opportunity to explore your life and identify the ways in which behaviours, thoughts and beliefs might be holding you back from living a full and satisfying life.
There are also times when life imposes on us in negative ways through crises, losses, break ups. When your life is filled with chaos and sorrow everyday tasks and relationships can seem overwhelming. Therapy can help in making sense of misfortune enabling you to use these challenges to grow and build resilience rather than be broken by them.
My hope is that through therapy you will develop ways of thinking and being that will enable you live your life with a greater awareness of self, motivation and true feelings.
My hope, too, is that the greater awareness that you develop in therapy will change the quality of your life and enable you to confidently go into the world with more freedom to be yourself and relate to people in authentic and meaningful ways.
