I have been in practice for over twenty years. I work with adults and adolescents. I am interested in trauma and have worked a lot with post-traumatic stress disorder, mood disorders and anxiety disorders.
I work with relationships and in particular the impact of traumatic experiences on relationships. I also often work with lifestyle issues. I have recently submitted a doctorate on the adjustment of torturers after committing atrocities. I am fairly matter-of-fact and direct. I like to work with clearly defined goals and therefore often use cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR was developed in the field of trauma where it gives good results. I also use hypnotherapy when it is indicated.
