Counselling Psychologist

I am a Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa  (HPCSA), and the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF) .I’ve completed my undergraduate, postgraduate and masters degree at Wits University. Over the past 7 years, I have had the opportunity of working with various communities and individuals across all cultural backgrounds. These include Soweto, Sandton, Alexander, Lenasia, Ennerdale, Randfontein,Hillbrow and Roodepoort.

My therapeutic understanding is informed by psychodynamic psychotherapy, whereas my counselling approach is integrative. I offer both brief and long-term therapy. I often use Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT, level 1 and 2), as well as Brainspotting for the treatment of phobias, self-esteem, grief, trauma, binge eating, addictions, chronic pain, anxiety etc.

A non-judgemental, warm, safe and trusting space, wherein ethical standards and professionalism is upheld.  I act as a guide and work at your pace toward processing, accepting andor resolving personal challenges.  I have utmost respect for my patients’ experiences and feelings, and always have their best interests at heart.
