Professional Background
I am a Counselling Psychologist in Roodepoort and Lenasia, registered with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa. My experience cuts across diverse settings. Prior to obtaining a Masters degree I volunteered at the Alzheimer’s institute of South Africa. Thereafter, as part of my training programme, I provided psychological services at public schools, community centres and at a public hospital. My experience also extends to the corporate sector where I was involved in coaching and mentoring programmes. I currently work in private practice.
Psychological Services
I offer both short term and long term therapy interventions. In terms of my therapeutic stance, I work from an integrative approach which involves tailoring the intervention to best suit the unique needs of each client. My work is primarily driven by the Psychodynamic, Schema and Mentalization-based frameworks. In addition, I am also influenced by Existential thinking.
