Hi I am Gillian, I am an Industrial Psychologist, Career Coach and Enneagram practitioner.
I have seen how different life can be when you are energised and fulfilled by the work that you do! I believe that everyone, no matter what age you are, is deserving of a career and life that makes them happy.
I have a special interest in partnering with people in their career journeys and thus design and facilitate customised processes to meet an individual’s or organisations unique requirements.
This can range from:
My process entails getting to know you and understanding how your past experiences may offer clues to your future. We cover interests, preferences, values, strengths and body wisdom and I make use of reflective exercises and the Enneagram to further deepen our understanding of you and your needs. From here, we integrate patterns and information to start to create a base of who you are and where you want to be. Once this is clear, it is easier to start to set small steps to move you closer to where you want to be. The intention is to empower you to feel ready and clear on your next step.
One of my favourite quotes that align with the work that I do is one from Dr Demartini “Buried in your heart is a powerful knowing, it holds the secrets of what you’d love to spend your life doing and a dream of how you would like to impact the world.”
If you want to know more about my educational background, I have a degree in Child psychology and a General Psychology Honours degree from the University of Johannesburg. I completed undergraduate and honours requirements for Industrial/ Organisational Psychology, as well as a BCom Master’s degree through the University of the North West. I was certified as a Martha Beck Coach in 2017 and an Enneagram coach and practitioner. I have a love for personal development, and enjoy experiencing many varied personal development programmes. In addition, I am really passionate about equipping fellow career practitioners with skills in career support, and thus spend a fair bit of my time designing and training Career Practitioners, supporting parents as well as schools and organisations.
