I am a registered TRE provider. TRE stands for Trauma and Tension Release Exercises. These exercises gently induce a natural tremor, which is the body’s way of shaking off tension. This process regulates the nervous system – which is typically in chaos after trauma. Once the process has been learned, you can do it at home. TRE empowers people to help themselves. I offer both group and individual sessions.
TRE is an easy and effective approach that has helped millions of people across the world. It can be used in addition to talk therapy or on its own. TRE is also used in corporate and wellness settings to help people with stress management. It has been widely used in community settings where people have been exposed to disaster.
Unresolved trauma is known to play a role in the development of many illnesses and conditions, including auto-immune and inflammatory diseases, insomnia, addiction, social challenges, digestive problems, and depression and anxiety. By regulating the nervous system, we give the mind and body a chance to heal and find a better balance. If you suspect that past trauma is still affecting you, why not give TRE a try?
